YOUNGSVILLE – Thomas Irving Sturdivant, 84, died May 14, 2012. He was born in Garner on Dec. 5, 1927 to Irving and Ora Thomas Sturdivant.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Louise Underwood Sturdivant; children, Denise Sturdivant, Gary Sturdivant (Beth), and Mickey Sturdivant (Beth Anne); eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held 11 a.m. Friday, May 18, at Mount Herman Christian Church Cemetery, in Garner.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 27584, Raleigh, NC 27601.
