WAKE FOREST—Jean Sunderland Holmes, 85, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 at Louisburg Nursing Center in Louisburg after a long illness. The family were longtime residents of Peekskill, NY and Fishkill, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Chad, and sister, Dorothea; and also one grandson.
Surviving: husband, Leonard, of Wake Forest; five children, Jeannie Holmes-Ferris (George) of North Carolina, Raymond Holmes (Sheree) of New York, Karen Holmes-Brunet (James) of Florida, Leonard Holmes Jr. (Elizabeth) of California, and Cheryl Holmes-Decker (Gregg) of New York; eight grandchildren; four great-grandsons; several nieces and nephews.
Services are private.
