LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Elbert Alston, 81, who died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, will be held Monday, Oct. 20, at 1 p.m. at Walnut Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Timothy Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving: wife, Erma Alston of the home; stepdaughter, Konya LeMay of Louisburg; son, Raymond Alston Sr. of Staten Island, N.Y.; sisters, Thelma Floyd of Knightdale and Mary Ann Crudup of Franklinton; brother, Charles Alston of Raleigh; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Open visitation will be held at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg on Sunday, Oct. 19, from 3 to 7 p.m.
