VERLIE M. HICKS
FRANKLINTON - Verlie Moseley Hicks, 92, of Franklinton, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007 in Guardian Care in Henderson. She was a life-long member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Hicks; brothers, Hugh, Henry and Clyde Moseley; sisters, Clara Ayscue, Julia Ball and Alice Faulkner.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from Mountain Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Cokesbury Methodist Church cemetery.

Surviving: son, George “Tony” Hicks and wife, Anne of Franklinton; grandchildren, Tonya Herzog and husband, Mark of Virginia and Steward Hicks and wife, Teresa of Wake Forest; great-grandson, Justin Wright of Virginia; great-granddaughter, Molly DeWitt and husband, Eddie of Jacksonville, NC; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family received friends Friday night from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Lancaster Funerals and Cremations, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, and at all other times at the home of Tony and Anne Hicks, 2274 Montgomery Road, Franklinton, NC 27525.
