GREENSBORO--Funeral services for Oliver "Skillet" Newell Jr., 62, who died Monday, May 1, 2017, will be held Saturday, May 6, at 2 p.m. at Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Louisburg.
Surviving: son, Christopher Newell of Raleigh; daughter, Morgan Newell of Greensboro; sisters, Catherine Gupton (Thurman) of Louisburg, Shirly Newell of Louisburg, Jersene Newell of Raleigh, Geraldine Newell of Louisburg; brothers, Eugene Newell (Joyce) of Winston-Salem and Cornelius Wayne Newell (Miltrene) of Louisburg.
Open visitation will be Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
