HENDERSON--Sim Coley Brinkley, 97, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018 at Maria Parham Health Center. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Aug. 4, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Green United Methodist Church cemetery.

He was born to the late Hubert and Lottie Coley Brinkley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John "Charles" Brinkley, and two grandsons.

Surviving: son, David Coley Brinkley (June) of Tennessee; daughter, Anne Aiken (Charles) of Townsville; sisters, Hazel Staples, Dorothy Lottie and Jewel Ann Tharrington (Ricky); two grandsons; one great-grandson.

Arrangements are being handled by Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg.
