RALEIGH--Mary "Polly" Hale Flowe died Friday, Sept. 14, 2018. A celebration of Polly's life will be held at West Raleigh Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 2 p.m. Family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall following the funeral service.
She was born in Franklinton and spent her youth in Franklinton, where she was captain of the basketball team and president of the senior class. She lived many years in Raleigh, where she served as the Director of Alumni Affairs at Peace College.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Seaborn Flowe Jr., and her parents, Daisy Tharrington Hale and Sylvester Hale
Surviving: daughter, Julie Schilawski (husband, Mike), and son, John Seabron III (wife, Genie); two grandchildren; two great-grand-daughters; a sister, Judy Hale Day; and beloved nieces, nephew, and cousins.
