LOUISBURG--Funeral services for Leroy Yancey, 93, who died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019 were held Thursday, Oct. 31, in the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg. Burial followed in the St. Delights United Church of Christ cemetery, with the Rev. Sidney Dunston officiating.
Surviving: his wife, Virginia D. Yancey of Louisburg; daughters, Mary Jean Yancey of Raleigh, Virgie Diane Brown (James) of Zebulon, Linda Mae Yancey Crudup and Virginia Ann Yancey, both of Louisburg; sons, Roy Edward Yancey of Wake Forest, John Earl Yancey of Bunn, Oliver Lee Yancey (Joann) of Centerville, and Timothy Ray Yancey of Raleigh; 27 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
