JAMES JUNIOR "ROOSTER" EDGERTON

LOUISBURG--Funeral services for James Junior "Rooster" Edgerton, 65, who died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020, will be held Sunday, Sept. 6, at 11 a.m. in the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg. Burial will follow in the Friendship Chapel Church cemetery.

Surviving: wife, Sandra Edgerton of the home; daughters, Sherricka Burnett-Epps (Jamaal), Lasandra Burnett and Cushandra Burnett-Epps (Marvin), all of Franklinton; sons, Michael Hockaday (Jonique) of Louisburg, Reginald Hockaday (Tiffany) of Raleigh; his parents, Sterling and Elder Edgerton of Louisburg; sisters, Carolyn Edgerton of Louisburg, Ann Doris Edgerton of Raleigh, Ruby Edgerton of Louisburg, Joyce Woodard (Andre) of Wake Forest, Tracy Hockaday (Al) of Louisburg, Geraldine Edgerton of Raleigh, Michelle Manson (June) of Franklinton, Charlotte Baker (Leon) of Louisburg; brothers, William Edgerton (Dena) of Raleigh, Larry Edgerton (Linda), Darnell Edgerton (Barbara), Ricky Edgerton and Michael Edgerton, all of Louisburg; and nineteen grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday from 3 until 4 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
