LOUISBURG--Funeral services for Bennie "Blimp" Pettiford Jr., 80, who died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020, will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, at 11 a.m. at Mitchiner's Grove Baptist Church in Franklinton, with Pastor Melvin Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Cemetery on the Hill.
Surviving: daughters, Latoya Cannady Eaton (Chris) of the home, Shante Jeffries of Franklinton, Natosha Crudup of Kittrell, Tiffany Cannady of Franklinton; sons, Brian Cannady (Elsie) of Hollister, Gregory Jeffries of Franklinton; sisters, Rebecca Leonard (Will) of Louisburg, Mary Solomon (Louis) of Somerset, NJ; brothers, William Pettiford, of Franklinton, Carl Pettiford of Warrenton, Curtis Pettiford of Louisburg; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 until 7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
