HENDERSON, NC- Earnest Don Davis, 64, of Henderson, NC died Sunday, January 31, 2021 at his home.

Born in Wake County, he was the son of the late William George "Buss" Davis and Jewel Mitchell Davis.

Don was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church.

A private graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Cokesbury United Methodist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Tracy Sexton and the Rev. Matt Evans.

Surviving is his wife of thirty-eight years, Bonnie Stainback Davis; four sons, Christopher Don Davis (Jaime), Jason Andrew Grissom (Dana), William Scott Davis (Swan)and Joshua Meredith Davis (Ashley); one Sister, Deborah Murray, one brother, Jerry Davis; and six grandchildren, Will, Harris, Quinn, Silas, Joy and Yates. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Curtis Davis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cokesbury United Methodist Church c/o Ruth Moss, 1705 Allison Cooper Road Henderson, NC 27537 or to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration 2700 Horizon Drive Suite 120, King of Prussia, PA 19406, or visit theaftd.org.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, those planning to attend the service, are asked to adhere to all CDC guidelines by wearing a face covering of some sort, and to practice social distancing.
