FRANKLINTON, NC -- Derrick Scott Pender, 52, of Franklinton, NC passed away on April 16, 2021 at WakeMed Health & Hospitals, Raleigh, NC. He was born to Willie Mae Pender and the late Charles D. Riley.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 30, at Pope's Chapel United Church of Christ, Franklinton, NC with Rev. Leroy Dukes, Officiating.
Viewing hour Thursday, April 29, from 5 to 6 p.m. at Cutchins Family Mortuary & Cremations, Franklinton, NC.
Survivors: his mother, Ms. Willie M. Pender (Lonnie) of Franklinton, NC; one brother, Corey A. Pender of Franklinton, NC; one niece and one nephew, grandmother, Mrs. Mary Lizzie Pender of Franklinton, NC; aunts and uncles.
