DANNY R. SIKES
December 8, 1947 - April 30, 2021

LOUISBURG - Danny Ray Sikes, 73, of Louisburg, died at his home, "Molehill Mountain Farm", in Franklin County, NC, April 30, 2021.

Danny was born in Columbus County. Although he was a son of the late Raymond and Hazel W. Sikes, he was reared from infancy by his very beloved maternal grandparents, Eunice Lambert Williams and Travis Harvey Williams of Clarkton, NC, whom he knew as "Mama" and "Daddy."

A memorial service will be held 11 am Friday, May 7, 2021 in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Danny is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Susan VanSant Willis Sikes; his children, Ethan Sikes and his wife, Stephanie of Franklinton; Todd and Lorraine Felton of San Antonio, TX; Leslie and Mark Allman of Durham; sister, Barbara Clewis and her partner, David Smith of Bolton; Janice "Susie" Patterson and her husband, Steve of Sanford; brothers, Jerry Sikes and his partner, Debbie Byrd of Evergreen; Mitchell Sikes and his wife, Betty of Washington; and grandchildren, Marlee, Elijah, Cooper, and Sadie Rose Sikes, of Franklinton; Avery Felton of Chicago, IL; and Joshua, Anna, and Emily Grace Allman of Durham.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America 8719 Colesville Rd., Suite 100, Silver Spring, Maryland 20910 in honor of those affected by the military's use of Agent Orange.
