CAPITAL HEIGHTS, MD -- Funeral services for Samuel "Pony" Townes, age 93, and formerly of Louisburg, who died on Thursday July 1, 2021, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg. Burial will follow in the Pine Chapel Memorial Garden Cemetery in Hollister.
He is survived by two daughters, Delores Townes of Capital Heights, MD, Linda Townes-McCall of Upper Marlboro, MD; one sister, Alice Howard of Cleveland, OH; one brother, Elvin Townes of Upper Marlboro, MD; eight grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
