JEAN WESTER ELLIS

LOUISBURG, NC--Jean Wester Ellis, 76, Louisburg, NC, passed away in her rural home on August 18, 2021. Jean was the daughter of the late Charles Colson and Eva Gray Wester. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Ellis.

Jean is survived by her son, Christopher William Ellis; brother, Bobby Earl Wester of Jacksonville, FL; nieces, Leslie of Bristow, VA, Tonya of Virginia Beach, VA, and Michele Braxton (Scott) of Pleasant Garden; nephews, Mickey Ellis, Jr. (Melanie) of Chase City, VA, and Michael Todd Taylor (Kayrn) of Cincinnati, OH; grand nephews, Dylan, Graysen, Colten, Joshua, Josiah, Lantz, Josh, and Zach; and grand nieces, Haley, Bella, Beth, Cierra, Trysta, Taryn, and Madisyn.

Jean was a graduate of Edward Best High School, Class of 1963, She enjoyed gardening and plants, reading and researching genealogy. Jean was a caring person and loved to talk with others or just listen if someone needed to talk.

Relatives and friends gathered on Sunday, August 22, 2021, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg, NC. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 23, 2021 at the Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum, 2210 Highway 561, Louisburg, NC 27549 with Reverend Charles Haley officiating.
