DANNY MURPHY

CASTALIA, NC--Danny Morris Murphy, 72 of the White Level community passed in peace at his home on Murphy Hill January 27, 2022. Son of Willie Lousie and Mary Lou Murphy. Preceded in death by his parents, Sister Barbara Alley and Brother Larry Murphy. Survived by his daughter Jessica Murphy, his nieces Tonya Clayton, Sonya Alley, Veegie Murphy and Nephew Cameron Murphy, His trusted sidekick Scoot.

He was known as Captain Murphy to many after 35 years of service to North Carolina Department of Correction.

He was known throughout the community by friends and foe as "Uncle D". He loved his circle of friends old and new. Protector of family, particular in his ways and always punctual.

He loved to fish, cook and be around those he called his own. Uncle D will be missed by the community, family and friends.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in his memory to The Northern Sportsman, Take a Kid Fishing, 774 Gold Sand Rd Louisburg NC 27549.

Family and Friends will hold a celebration of life fitting to Danny at his favorite fishing hole per Uncle D's instructions, to be announced in near future.
