Janet Phipps Privette Eddins, 83, died Friday morning, August 19, 2022, at WakeMed after a brief illness.

She was born May 24, 1939 in Johnston County, the daugher of the late Carl U. Phipps and Mamie Boykin Phipps.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold Phipps, Roger Phipps and Dr. Carl Phipps.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in law, Jeffrey and Patricia Privette of the Pearces Community; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

There will be a private family inurnment at a later date.
