CLARA L. CHAMBLEE
May 17, 1936 - October 14, 2022

LOUISBURG, NC - Clara Lou Chamblee, 86, of Louisburg, died Friday morning, October 14, 2022.

Clara was a daughter of the late Claude D. and Clellie D. Chamblee. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Paula F. Efrid; sisters, Faye Chamblee, Annie Bell Chamblee and Margaret C. Faulkner; brothers, Charlie Chamblee Bill Chamblee, Bruce Chamblee and Willie Gray Chamblee.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, October 20, at the Chamblee Family Cemetery with Rev. Steve Barham officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home of Jean and Charles Watkins, 2698 NC 98 Hwy. W. Louisburg. Clara will lie in repose at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory.

Clara is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Claudette and Elton Marshall; Jean and Charles Watkins; Dorothy and William Kaleel and Teresa C. Fowler; brother, Bobby Chamblee; brother-in-law, Douglas Faulkner; many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Franklin County Animal Shelter, 351 T. Kemp Rd. Louisburg, NC 27549.
