LOUISBURG, NC--Lester Ray Ellis, 74, of Louisburg died October 14, 2022 at his home. He was born on December 5, 1947 to the late James A. and Lila Parham Ellis. In addition to his parents, Lester was predeceased by his brothers, Charles, James "Putt", Gene, and Danny.
A graveside funeral was held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Lancaster Memorial Park, 2210 Highway 561, Louisburg NC, with Pastor Charles Anderson officiating.
Lester is survived by his wife, Wanda Bumgarner Ellis; his stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Clay and Carolyn Ayscue; two step-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and his sister Kathy Gayle Barrett.
