FRANKLINTON, NC--Rev. Robert Arthur "Bobby" Piper Sr., 84, of Franklinton, died Saturday, October 29, 2022.
He was born in Franklin County on June 6, 1938 to the late Arthur Owen and Lillie Dent Piper. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Mary Frances Piper, and brother, Jimmy Piper.
Robert A. Piper, Sr. is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Robert A. Piper, Jr. (Lauri) and Stephen W. Piper (Lorna); five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his brother John R. Piper (Teresa).
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Freedom Life Church of God, 1001 Martin Creek Rd, Henderson, NC 27537, with Pastor Jeff Prewer officiating. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Franklinton, NC.
