LOUISBURG, NC--Hilda Gray Ayscue Cottrell, 88, of Louisburg, died Saturday, November 12, 2022. She was born on October 1, 1934 to the late Hurley J and Zona Tutor Ayscue. In addition to her parents, Hilda was predeceased by her husband, Louis Donald Cottrell; and sisters, Shelvie Burnette and Doris Smith.
Hilda is survived by her sons, Gary Cottrell (Avis) and Wayne Cottrell (Vickie); three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and her sister, Nancy Bowers (Richard).
The family received friends from 1-1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Corinth Baptist Church, 4582 US 401 Hwy N. Louisburg, NC 27549, where funeral service was held at 2 p.m., with Dr. Patrick Fuller officiating. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery.
