Louisburg, NC--Elizabeth Gertrude Mills Hill, 75, of Louisburg, died November 24, 2022. She was born on December 21, 1946, to the late Edward "Buddy" and Avis Gilliam Mills. In addition to her parents, Gertrude was predeceased by her brothers, James Mills, Reginald Mills, and Joseph Mills; a sister, Lorene Mills Allen and a stepdaughter, Mandy Hill.
Gertrude is survived by her husband, Ronald Elvertis Hill; her daughters, Melissa Davis Kimball and Lexie Simental; her stepson, Clay Hill (Amanda); her sister, Ruby Mills Baker (Ben); four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Sandy Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Philip Kissinger officiating. A private inurnment was held at Lancaster Memorial Park.
