ZEBULON, NC--Mary E. Hopkins, of the Hopkins Crossroads community, died January 5, 2023 at 94 years old.
Mary was born June 11, 1928 in Wake County on June 11, 1928 to the late Joseph Ellington and Ola Watkins Ellington.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Hopkins and sisters Genavee Jackson and Phillis "Tink" Parrish.
Mary is survived by niece and God-daughter Donna Parrish Anderson (Ricky) of Zebulon, two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one niece and one nephew; and multiple great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family received friends 2-3 p.m., Sunday, January 8 at Hopkins Chapel Baptist Church, 4525 Hopkins Chapel Road, Zebulon, followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m. Burial followed in the Hopkins Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends other times at the home of Donna and Ricky Anderson, 3909 Hopkins Chapel Road, Zebulon.
