LOUISBURG, NC--Jacquelyn Lee O'Neal Kimball, 92, of Louisburg, died peacefully in her home with her family by her side on Thursday, January 5, 2023. She was born on October 24, 1930 to the late F. Luther and Breattie Corbett O'Neal. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. Kimball.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Ginger and Klaus Ford and Neal and Jim Smith all of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; her son and daughter-in-law, Edward F. Jr. and Angel Kimball of Louisburg; grandchildren, Jacquelyn "Lee" Farino (Jon-Michael), Blake Smith, and Jacob Allen-Kimball; and her companion of many years, Joe Shearon.

Jackie was a lifelong resident of Louisburg, where she grew up, got married, and raised her three children. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1953 with a B.S. in Pharmacy. Jackie was a pharmacist whose career included working in her family's O'Neal Pharmacy, Franklin Regional Hospital, Rite-Aide and several other nearby pharmacies. She was honored by the NC Board of Pharmacy in October of 2015 in recognition of 60 years of service in the practice of pharmacy.

Jackie was a member of Louisburg Baptist Church, where she was a part-time organist and played the handbells. She was an avid bridge player in several clubs and was a long-time member of the O'Henry Book Club.

Jackie's real passion was her love of gardening, as evidenced by her beautiful roses and gorgeous colorful flower beds. She was a talented painter and enjoyed expressing her love of flowers on canvas, glass, and wooden birdhouses.

The family received friends at Jackie's home on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 12 - 5 p.m. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2023 in the chapel of Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N.
