LOUISBURG - Gerald Thorp Leonard, 87, of Louisburg, and formerly of Newnan, Georgia, died Tuesday morning at his home.
He was a son of the late R. Gorman and Clarice Dickerson Leonard.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Patricia C. Leonard, and his sister, Patsy L. Nobles.
A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
Gerald is survived by his daughters, Katrina Haynes (Ken), Kelly Horn (Scott), Kristie Stewart (Chip), Kendra Everette (Neil); one brother, Donnie Leonard (Marilyn); 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
