RAY E. LANHAM
August 28, 1944 - November 5, 2023

LOUISBURG, NC -- Raymond Elwood Lanham, 79, passed away at his home, surrounded by his wife and family by his side.

Ray was the son of the late Stephen and Catherine A. Lanham. He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Holmes.

Ray was an Army veteran and had a long career in the HVAC industry where he was owner/operator of Lanham & Son HVAC for many years.

Ray is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Sue; his faithful four-legged companion Louie, his sons, Steve Lanham (Dianna); Eddie Lanham (Chrissy); Randy Lanham (Christy); his sisters, Betty Pound, Mary Gallo, Patty Perkins and Glenda Guzinski; grandchildren, Bob Lanham (Ashley), Jessica Crutchfield (Devin), Chris Lanham (Candice); Olivia Lanham, Amanda Lapsley and Shane Lapsley; great grandkids, Raegan, Quinn, Brooks, Tinley and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 11, in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service and at other times at the home.
