SADIE L. ASHMORE
June 26, 1934 - October 29, 2023

California, MD--Sadie Layton Ashmore, age 89, born June 26, 1934, died October 29, 2023.

She was a daughter of the late Robert Henry Layton and Katie Perry Layton. She is survived by her son John Stober, Jr. of Hollywood, MD, daughter Treva Ranum, husband Bob of Natalia, TX, and son Danny Stober, wife Joan of Mechanicsville, MD. and one sister Ruth Ann Layton Clark. She leaves six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents listed above and eight sisters: Juanita Layton Leonard, Marguarite Layton Joyner, Dorothy Layton Edwards, Roberta Layton Boone, Mildred Layton Shearin, Frances Layton Demerest, twin Katie Layton Denning; and one brother Fred Layton.

Graveside services, officiated by her nephew, Ricky Bass will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 10, at Duke Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, Justice, NC. A visitation will follow in the church fellowship building.
