LOUISBURG, NC--Marie Murray Poole, 91, of the Schloss Community, died Thursday, May 23, 2024.

She was born on July 27, 1932 to the late William Haywood and Katie Francis Pernell Murray in Franklin County, NC.

In addition to her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her husband, James Poole; four sons, Keith Champion, Lonnie Haywood Champion, Jeff Champion, and Mike Champion; her sister, Ruby Dement; one grandson one great-grandson.

Marie is survived by her children, Ivy Ayscue (James), Walter Champion, Kim Ayscue (Steve), Jerri Champion, Robin Martin (Bobby), and Carolyn Tharrington (Sherwood); twenty-five grandchildren; sixty great-grandchildren; seventeen great-great-grandchildren.

Family received friends from 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd, Louisburg A graveside funeral service was held 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, at the Murray Pernell Family Cemetery in Schloss.
