Jennifer Leigh Burnette
July 24, 1969 - June 27, 2024

LOUISBURG, NC--Jennifer Leigh Burnette, age 54, of Louisburg went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 27, 2024. She was born on July 24, 1969 to Graham and Betty Burnette. She was preceded in death by her mama.

Jennifer worked with Franklin County Cooperative Extension from 1995 to 2000 and began teaching CTE courses within Franklin Schools in 2000. Before retiring in 2019 the number of lives she impacted was immeasurable. Her students described her as a teacher who always wanted better for her students, even if she had to give it to them herself. A giver of many wise words and life lessons, a supporter, an amazing advocate, and a believer in each and every student. Her family was her greatest blessing. Jenn Jenn was known for her love of horses, music, dancing, flowers, and all things creative. She found peace beyond all understanding at her favorite retreats with family and friends which included any trail ride, Surf City Family Campground, and Kerr Lake Village and Campground.

She is survived by her son, Skylar Wade Burnette Leonard (Amber); grandson, Riley Graham Leonard; father, Graham Burnette, and sister, Crystal Williams (Wayne).

Jennifer had a zest for life that was unmatched. Her beautiful smile could light up any room, and her laughter was contagious. Witnessing the sunrise always left her in awe of the peaceful presence of God, and she took every opportunity she could to experience this closeness with Him.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to HuckleBug Farm, 1206 Gilcrest Farm Rd., Wake Forest, NC 27587, to help children attend horse camp or riding lessons. Please write in the memo of the check: Jennifer Burnette Memorial Fund or Venmo @hucklebugfarm.
