West End, NC--Della Kay Dennis, 64, of West End passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4th, 2024 after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

She is survived by three brothers, Matthew Dennis (Shelly) of Spring Hope, NC, Derek Dennis of Hendersonville, NC and George "Kip" Dennis (Tracy) of Carthage, NC.

She pursued a career in various fields, working at the Department of Recycling in Maryland, AARP, WWAY Wilmington, NC.

Della had a deep love for animals and nature. She dedicated her time and efforts to helping others, including her involvement in the Prancing Horse Center for Therapeutic Horsemanship organization.

Della had a passion for the arts, whether performing or visual. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, drawing and painting when she had free time. Her joyful spirit and creativity touched the lives of those around her. When able, she enjoyed being with close friends, traveling, especially to the beaches of Florida and North Carolina and visiting the North Carolina mountains.
