Epsom, NC--Mary Leigh Ayscue Roberson, 73, passed away on August 26, 2024. Mary was born on September 4, 1950 to the late Charles T. and Ruth Divers Ayscue. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Wayne Roberson.

Mary is survived by her sons, Sidrick Roberson (Jennifer) and Lee Roberson; her grandkids, Meredith Roberson, Caleb Burnette, and Lillian Roberson; her sisters, Charlotte Huelett (Dave), and Brenda Stovall; her nephews, Steven Barna, and Daniel Stovall; her niece, Leigh Anne Stovall; her great-niece, Isabelle Barna; and her two fur babies, "Pluto" and "Gabby".

Mary was a lifelong member of New Bethel Baptist Church, where she served on numerous committees and was a Sunday School Teacher for as long as anyone can remember. She worked as a Teacher's Assistant and then for many years with the Franklin County Library System, which made sense as Mary had a passion for reading. She loved her whole family but her grandbabies were her world.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd. Louisburg NC 27549. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at New Bethel Baptist Church, 1238 New Bethel Church Rd. Henderson, NC 27537, with the Reverend Jon Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Eddie Blake, Caleb Burnette, Eric Toney, Bradd Trout, Steven Barna, and Daniel Stovall.
