Jimmy Clifton Wilder
August 21, 1939 - October 3, 2024

SPRING HOPE, NC--Jimmy Clifton Wilder, 85 of Spring Hope passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Pine Ridge Baptist Church, 874 Pine Ridge Road, Zebulon. Interment followed in Oakdale Cemetery, E Branch Street, Spring Hope. Rev. Butch Gordon will officiated.

The family received friends Sunday afternoon from 2 - 2:45 p.m. at Pine Ridge Baptist Church prior to the service.

Jimmy graduated from Middlesex High School in 1957 and attended NC State. He was Vice President of Fred Whitaker Textile Company, and the manager of the Raleigh division. Jimmy was a faithful member and servant at Pine Ridge Baptist Church, where he was also a Deacon and Sunday school teacher. He loved being outside in nature roaming the woods and the riverbanks. Jimmy was an avid reader and a historian; he was often referred to as the family encyclopedia. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and he will be dearly missed.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Fannie L. Wilder; daughters, Cynthia Wilder Daggett and husband, David, and Crystal Faith Wilder and husband, George Foundos; son, Jimmy "Cliff" Clifton Wilder, Jr., and wife, Paula Bridges Wilder; granddaughters, Annecy Daggett, Emmaline Daggett, and Ashleigh Weymann and husband, Ryan; grandsons, Riley Daggett and Fotis Foundos; great-grandchildren, Cooper Weymann and Payton Weymann; brother, Jerry Wilder and wife, Donna; and his cousin, Manly Wilder and wife, Peggy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Lillian Wilder; sisters, Juanita Parker, Joyce Whitley and Dot Strickland, and his brother, Rotchie Wilder.
