William T. Crocco
February 4, 1946 - October 9, 2024

YOUNGSVILLE, NC--Mr. William T. Crocco, 78, of Youngsville passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at his home. He was born on February 4, 1946, to the late Salvatore and Marion Butler Crocco in Dutchess County, New York.

In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his grandson Shaun Gallagher, and two lifelong friends, Gene Rose and Bill Conners.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Judy Sackett Crocco; his two daughters, Julieann Gallagher (Travis) and Sally Faracca (Dino); six grandchildren, Daniel Gallagher (Nelsy) and Andrew Gallagher, Jared and Liam Bohan, Emily and Noah Faracca; his sister Patricia Graf (Joseph); his brother, Edward Crocco (Patricia); two lifelong friends, George Purvis and Walt Gutshall and many nieces and nephews.

William was an extremely hardworking man. He was married to the love of his life Judy for fifty-four years. William retired from IBM with thirty-five years of service. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need in any way he could. Over the years he was able to travel with his family to almost every single state. They would visit battlegrounds, Canada, Mexico, and everywhere in between. William loved dogs, going fishing and making furniture in his woodworking shop. He was an ultimate girl dad, all they had to do was ask and he would get them anything they wanted.

William was a self-taught baker who made the most delicious cheesecakes. He was a man of great determination, and not only by the words of others, but also by the obstacles that he was able to overcome throughout his life. William was a polio survivor. He was diagnosed with lumbar polio in the nineteen fifties and fought through it for over two years in the hospital, becoming an iron lung survivor. William loved his family dearly, and he will be missed tremendously.

The family held a private memorial gathering on Friday, October 11, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to the Alzheimer's Association.

Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services of Louisburg.
