Susie Bell Burton

FRANKLINTON, NC--Susie Bell Burton of Franklinton, age 72, died Thursday, October 4, 2024.

She was born April 9, 1952 to the late Alfonzo Perry and Sallie Perry in Franklinton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, McDonald Moore, a sister, Diana Perry, a stepdaughter, Tonya Burton, and one granddaughter, Akiah McMillan.

Survivors: her husband of over 40 years, Allen Burton; two sons, Earl T. Perry and Steven Burton (Quanunita); one daughter, Addrianne Brown (Robert); step-children, David Burton (Tracy), Judy Burton, and Tina Burton; eight grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter; three sisters, Loretta Edgerton, (Peter), Vivian Glover (Claude), and Sandra Bumpers (Connie), all of Franklinton, NC; a brother-in-law, three sisters-in-law, god-children; and a host of step grand-children, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, October 11, at Allen Metropolitan AME Zion Church in Franklinton. Rev. Garo Sheats pastor officiated. Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Franklinton.

Arrangements were by Cutchins Family Mortuary & Cremations Service.
