Louis Henry Roundtree

LOUISBURG, NC--Louis Henry Roundtree, 86, of Louisburg, formerly of Vanceboro, died on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Maria Parham Health, Henderson, NC.

Louis was born February 13, 1938 in Craven County to the late Julius Roundtree and Isabelle Moye Roundtree.

He is survived by three sons, Louis Roundtree of Louisburg, NC, Minister Larry Wooten and Johnnie Wooten of Vanceboro, NC; one daughter, Esther Jean Campbell of Vanceboro, NC; one brother, Alton Roundtree of Camp Spring, MD; four sisters, Bertha Washington of Jacksonville, NC, Gloria Jean Roundtree of Upper Marlboro, MD, Pastor Christine R. Yates and Beverly Roundtree both of Vanceboro and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The service celebrating his life and legacy is tentatively scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, November 2, from the sanctuary of Queen's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in the Dawson-Moye Cemetery, Vanceboro.

Mr. Roundtree will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church.
