Linda Kay Jenkins Thompson of Fredericksburg, Texas, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the age of 78. Linda was born June 3, 1946, in Lynchburg, Virginia, to Earl Frank Jenkins and Margaret Mae Davis Jenkins. Linda married Daniel Ray Thompson on November 30, 1973, in Greenville, South Carolina.
They made their home first in Raleigh, North Carolina, later in Centerville, North Carolina, and finally in Fredericksburg, Texas. She is survived by her son Daniel Thompson, II (wife Rebecca Maclean) of Pittsburgh, PA, daughter Amanda Stevens (husband Michael) of Fredericksburg, Texas, and five grandchildren Duncan Rieger, Emmaline Thompson, Meredith Stevens, Brighid Thompson, and Margaret Stevens.
A Celebration of Life will be held in January.
