Melissa Annette Ray, 39, died unexpectedly on December 5, 2024. Melissa was born on July 23, 1985 to Hugh Brian Ray Sr. and Cathy Foster Ray.
Melissa was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Claude and Frances Foster; and her paternal grandfather, Milton Thurman Ray.
In addition to her parents, Melissa is survived by her sons, Jerry Wall lll "Trae" and Paxton Jayce Wall; her brother, Hugh Brian Ray, Jr (Laura); her paternal grandmother, Pauline Burnette; her fiancé, Jerry Wall; aunts, uncles; and many cousins and loved ones.
A celebration of Melissa's life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 14, in the Louisburg Chapel of Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd. Louisburg NC 27549.
In honor of Melissa, we ask that you wear her favorite colors, pink or lavender and dress casual. The family will receive friends following the service.
