Helen Hawkins Perry Renn
February 4,1930 - December 8, 2024

Swansboro, NC-- Helen Hawkins Perry Renn, 94, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She was born February 4,1930 in Franklin County, NC a daughter of the late Zack and Georgie Truckner Perry.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Duke Memorial Baptist Church in Justice, NC.

Helen had fond memories of growing up on the family farm in Justice. She and Lewis were tireless partners in everything both professional and community involvements throughout their shared journey. She was a dedicated wife and mother while also a longtime employee of Sears in Jacksonville, NC. As a long-time resident of Swansboro she was an active member of Emerald Isle Baptist Church. The things most important to her were her family, friends, and nature.

She is survived by daughters, Judith Wasileski of Palm Coast, FL and Patricia Everhart (Bob) of Swansboro; grandchildren, Jennifer Everhart Hill (Jon) of Oregon and John E. Everhart of Virginia; seven great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; and sisters-in-laws, Jane R. Pearce (Bill) of Raleigh and Mildred Faye Shearin (Milton) of Louisburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Lewis Wheeler Renn; sister, Emily Bartholomew; son-in-law, Nicholas Wasileski; and grandson, Robert Everhart.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Emerald Isle Baptist Church Mission Fund, 304 Plantation Rd., Emerald Isle, NC 28594.
