FRANKLINTON, NC -- Jimmy Lloyd Bowers, 73, of Franklinton, died at home on Friday afternoon, January 17, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Born August 6, 1951, Lloyd was the son of the late Uless Lloyd Bowers and Lonnie Mae Taylor Bowers. He was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Jessup.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 25, in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 - 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patty Lyn Bowers of Franklinton; daughter, Jamie Lyn Abbott and husband Thomas, of Franklinton; sister, Joyce Robbins; one grandson, and one soon-to-be grandson.
